Canoeing is a big draw for our area---probably  as big if not bigger than horses.  My father was the first in Shannon County to begin renting canoes to the tourist.  We call him the grandfather of canoeing.

The Stewart Family have Ozark roots running back to the pioneer settlers that used the river for trading and recreation.
